ESG Advisory

We help organisations turn ESG commitments into measurable business value by identifying what matters most through materiality assessments, setting SMART ESG goals and KPIs, developing sustainability strategies, and delivering credible sustainability reports.

Case study:

In one of our ESG assignments, Our ESG Expert trained over 200 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) registered under the Industry
Enhancement Centre and either offering or interested in offering products and services to Uganda’s Oil and Gas sector in ESG. With
increasing focus on sustainability, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards locally and globally present new challenges for SMEs in the Oil and Gas sector.
SMEs are critical players in this value chain but often lack the capacity and resources to meet the
sector’s ESG requirements. Therefore, the assignment aimed to equip the SMEs with knowledge in critical ESG elements.

The training was over 3 days per cohort of participants, and the topics covered included stakeholder mapping, materiality assessment, ESG risk assessment (with participants developing risk registers), setting ESG goals and KPIs, applying GRI and IFRS frameworks for sustainability reporting, and determining Scope 1 greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments. The participating SMEs spanned various fields including: energy, cleaning services, security services, construction, mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, safety equipment supply, information technology, among others.

Feedback from participants

The importance of compliance with regulations, it builds brand reputation but also will give me confidence to approach investors

ESG was new but the concepts are now clearer and I need them in my business.

ESG is a new concept that assesses how my business impacts the world out there, and we need to perform materiality assessment and know where to focus as we start.

Ready to start the journey for implementation of ESG in our organization.
